We covered the hottest "interactive attractions" that allow you to experience various simulated worlds!
◆Experience the town of the future with local production for local consumption of electricity in Ginza, Tokyo
First up is "Sodate Town," an interactive attraction at the Mitsubishi Electric Event Square "METoA Ginza" in Ginza, Tokyo.
The giant screen inside the museum shows a town of the future. This attraction has a mission to collect clean energy from a solar power plant to light up the illumination of an amusement park in that town.
Sensors detect body movements and integrate them with the projected images. When you step on the circle projected on the ground, energy is stored.
When the energy is gathered in the storage battery, it is supplied to the amusement park area by throwing it into the amusement park area.
When the power is firmly supplied, the illumination lights up.
Tanaka, who experienced the program, said, "It's a good experience because it's not easy to realize the power in the city. Interesting!" She spoke.
Currently, Japan relies on imports for about 99% of its fossil fuels, and if these imports were to cease, the country would surely be plunged into a major crisis. This attraction was planned to consider such issues by sharing clean energy such as solar and wind power generation within the city, so that many people can experience the city of the future where "local production for local consumption" of electricity is realized.
◆Experience a simulated air trip in a private jet! "FIRST AIRLINES Asakusa"
Next is "FIRST AIRLINES Asakusa" located in Asakusa.
The museum features a reproduction of an airplane cabin, allowing visitors to experience a trip on a private jet while on the ground.
The windows project actual flight images, making you feel as if you are flying in the sky.
The attendants are also students who aim to become crew members in the future, under the guidance of former first-class crew members. When wearing VR goggles, you can experience a simulated sightseeing tour of the world's cities, and you can even enjoy a full-course, luxurious in-flight meal.
◆The world of illustrated books is right in front of your eyes...real life of animals can be observed
The last attraction is the "Zukan Museum Ginza" in Ginza.
As the name suggests, this is an attraction where visitors can experience an illustrated book, where various animals living in the natural world are projected on monitors and visitors can enjoy them up close.
The museum has a total of five areas, including forests, rivers, and grasslands, where visitors can observe the real ecology of animals in different habitats. Visitors can also record the animals they encounter on a "record stone," which is given to them upon entering the museum, and enjoy discovering and collecting new animals.
Tanaka was very satisfied with the experience, saying, "I feel like I want to stay here forever, it's so much fun. I don't think I could look at an illustrated book for that long, but this hands-on experience makes me want to keep looking at it forever," she said.
